May 26, 2010 Edmonton Class

We of course worked on foundations first.
  1. During the circle, in with elbow, using the frontal muscles. This stretches from the front foot to the front hand, making the line very long.
  2. Out with hand using the back muscles. This stretches from the rear foot to the front hand.
  3. This completes one circle.
  4. This is called front and back yin yang separation.
Scott Hess, Kham Serk and Scot Jorgensen came to the second half of the class. We then started pushing hands.
  1. How to be pushed but keep back in place and only move the front (chest).
  2. After repeated drills, turn one side of the body forward towards the opponent, returning his pushing power.
  3. We did this for half an hour.
