During form training, silk reeling or standing meditation, i am really relaxed and try to go deep into myself enjoying the feelings.

  1. First of all, in Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method, we do not use standing meditation.
  2. Secondly, we do not advocate the idea of relaxed. We believe this concept is very deep. It can be achieved through many years of proper training, but it is not part of the training.
  3. The main issue here is "feeling". Chen Style Taijqiuan is a system that tries to train you to become a machine. Another way of saying this is to train you to get rid of "feelings". According to Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method, unless you get rid of all illusions (feeling is one of them) there will be no real learning. This is not to say illusions are good or bad.
  4. Do not train/work on anything that is not real! This is not to say anything that is not real is not part of taiji. It is part of a different process, not the learning process.
